The project
2tonnes is an online shop named after the symbolic carbon budget: every person should ideally emit no more than 2 tonnes of CO2 per year by 2050. The shop offers books, training courses, workshops and tools to help individuals and organisations engage in a concrete carbon transition.
Xavier Kain developed the e-commerce platform as a campaigning commerce tool for the carbon transition — educational, clear, and conversion-focused.
Challenges & objectives
The main challenge was combining a committed environmental positioning with a professional e-commerce experience. The content needed to explain climate change issues pedagogically without being guilt-inducing, to bring as many people as possible into the transition.
