The project
Abstract Vet is an international veterinary scientific monitoring portal that aggregates and presents abstracts from the latest research publications in veterinary medicine, allowing practitioners, researchers and students to stay up to date without navigating dozens of specialist journals.
Xavier Kain developed the platform to create an intuitive, accessible tool for the veterinary scientific community with an interface that makes navigating large volumes of scientific content straightforward.
Challenges & objectives
The main technical challenge was designing a content architecture for large volumes of scientific abstracts organised by speciality, species and date. The search system needed to be powerful yet intuitive for expert users.
