The Project

Creation of the e-commerce website for EduCompétences, a structure specialising in educational guidance and skills assessments. The site allows families and students to discover the various services offered (guidance assessments, academic coaching, Parcoursup support) and book them directly online through the integrated WooCommerce shop.

As a web development expert, I designed a site that showcases EduCompétences' expertise while offering a simple and reassuring purchasing journey. The professional design inspires confidence in parents and young people, while detailed service pages clearly explain the content of each service, pricing and terms.

Challenges & Objectives

The main challenge was to create an e-commerce platform adapted to selling educational services, a field where trust and clarity of information are essential. Families looking for educational guidance support need to understand precisely what each service includes before committing. The site therefore had to present services in an educational and reassuring manner.

The WooCommerce integration needed to enable online booking and payment for services, with a checkout adapted to services (no physical delivery, email confirmation, appointment scheduling). Local and organic search engine optimisation was a priority to attract families searching for educational guidance services in their region.

The client manages their service catalogue and orders completely autonomously thanks to the WordPress admin interface.

Technologies Used

The site was developed on WordPress with WooCommerce for the e-commerce functionality and Elementor for page design. This combination enables complete and autonomous site management by the client, while offering professional design and robust e-commerce features. Hosting and technical configuration were optimised to ensure fast loading times and maximum availability.
