First edition of the EDF Mediator annual report website
The Project
First edition of the collaboration with the national energy mediator for the design and development of the dedicated website for the 2021 annual report. This project marked the beginning of a recurring partnership that continued in 2022 and 2023. The site needed to present the Mediator's key data, recommendations and analyses for 2021 in a clear and accessible manner, targeted at citizens, energy industry professionals and local authorities.
Challenges & Objectives
The national energy mediator wanted to modernise the presentation of its annual report by moving from a static PDF format to an interactive website. The challenge was to translate complex data (dispute statistics, recommendations, sector analyses) into a smooth and engaging web experience. The integration had to scrupulously respect the mockups supplied in Illustrator by the art director, with particular attention to typography, institutional colours and the layout of charts and infographics.
Technical Approach
A fully custom WordPress theme was developed for this project, offering total control over visual rendering and performance. Unlike subsequent editions which used Elementor Pro, this first version required more extensive bespoke development to establish the project's foundations. The theme integrates custom page templates, ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) for data management, and a smooth inter-section navigation system.

Results
The success of this first edition directly led to the renewal of the partnership for the following years. The site was very well received by the Mediator's team and enabled wider dissemination of the annual report compared to the previous PDF format. This collaboration perfectly illustrates the ability to deliver demanding institutional projects on time and to specification.
